The Hughes BGAN M2M Integrated Antenna Terminal, which replaces the external antenna version of the 9502, combines the 9502 modem with a tiny antenna to provide a single-piece, integrated, durable terminal that can resist the harshest weather conditions. It includes backup and out-of-band management to primary site communications and provides stable IP connectivity over the Inmarsat Broadband Global Area Network (BGAN). It's perfect for SCADA and unattended sites with M2M applications including environmental monitoring, SmartGrid, pipeline monitoring/control, compressor monitoring/control, well site automation, and surveillance. This terminal delivers the BGAN service to a variety of businesses, opening up a world of global applications ranging from monitoring services to global communications.
The Hughes 9502's low power consumption allows it to deliver end-to-end IP connectivity to places that are off the grid. This enables end-to-end IP connectivity for power-constrained areas that rely on solar-battery arrays with tight power budgets.
