The PTA12-300 Airborne Telephone Dialer/Adapter is a Dzus-mounted telephone interface with a full-function Touchtone keypad, 16-digit LED display, and an integrated 'phone book' that can store 16 numbers.
The PTA12-300 Airborne Telephone Dialer/Adapter uses the phone's 2 wire POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service) interface to enable complete telecom management and conventional DTMF (Dual Tone Multi Frequency) dialing capabilities. The interface allows the flight crew to use the phone system while keeping full headset functionality through the aircraft's audio panel.
A handset can be used in conjunction with the PTA12-300 to allow access to the cabin's satcom system. Many modern aerial telephone systems, such as GlobalstarTM, Iridium, Inmarsat, and airborne cellular, can be used with the PTA12-300.
