The ICOM IC-SAT100 PTT Iridium Satellite Radio connects people all over the world with a group of PTT radios at the push of a button. The Iridium satellite network, which covers the whole world, including both poles, and enables for wide-area global communication from anywhere on the earth, is used by the IC-SAT100 to do this.
What is Satellite PTT?
The Iridium satellite network is used for satellite PTT (Push-To-Talk). It can be used as a communication tool in remote, isolated places when mobile phones and landline network equipment are unavailable. Even if terrestrial network infrastructure is destroyed by human or natural disasters, Satellite PTT can provide a reliable backup that is unaffected by other networks.
With a single push of the transmit (PTT) button, IC-SAT100 users can immediately begin chatting to all radios in the same talkgroup, unlike satellite phones.
Wide Area Global Communications
The Iridium satellite network covers the whole globe, including both poles, and can deliver global communications over long distances anywhere on the globe*. *Carrying and/or using the IC-SAT100 may be illegal in some countries or regions.
Waterproof, Dust-tight, and Durable Body
The IC-SAT100 is dust-tight and waterproof to IP67 (1 m depth of water for 30 minutes), making it perfect for usage in tough outdoor conditions. The radio also complies with MIL-STD 810G requirements. The temperature range for operation is –30°C to +60°C (–22°F to 140°F).

Bought some a few months back and my employees are very happy with the purchase; the service is the best. As soon as we started traveling out of the range of regular networks I knew we had to upgrade to something else. Thanks to Apollo for recommending these I wouldn't have it any other way; five stars easy!!
The service on these is excellent, grabbed a few a couple months ago and got my team members hooked up and haven't looked back since. Thanks to Apollo as well for all of their help.
Outfitted a small batch of my personnel with these handsets to see how everything would go. I was hesitant to get everyone a handset outright because I really didn't know how these would work. I was quite surprised, these handsets are very nice and work perfectly; the service is the best!! After seeing how these perform I'll be getting the rest of my personnel connected next quarter.

Very nice,thanks for all help
The service on these is amazing, we're outfitting all the guards with these in the coming months. No more cutouts or sketchy, scratchy comms, it's the best upgrade we've done in decades along with all the computers. We'll always go through Apollo as well, five stars across the board for their support alone! Considering what we were upgrading everything went very smoothly thanks to them.
One of my jobs is helping to coordinate multiple medical groups on the west coast. This has proven a bit difficult until I found Apollo and their services. We purchased a handful of these at first to try out with our responders and wow, they really work well. We are planning on expanding next quarter and purchasing a lot more for sure!
The crew I work with uses these all the time and they're the best! They have never failed us and they can really take a beating and from the function of them you cannot even notice.
Tested a few of these out and then upgraded to five more I was so impressed. These really stand up to anything and work very, very well! The service is great along with it and now I don't have to worry about comms no matter where I take my company.
My boss grabbed some of these to try out and they work very, very well! They are very well built and everyone on the crew is happy with them. We use them all the time and have never had any issues.
Bought a few of these for my crew to try out and I'm impressed. Push to talk was really the only way that made sense for us and I was skeptic at first but these things really work well!
The utility company that I work for picked us up some of these since we are starting to get contracts that take us into areas where communication is difficult. These things are very well built and they work very well! We haven't had any issues with them at all.
I have a construction crew that I help manage and we've been testing out equipment here and there for some new comms to cover them when regular networks just can't handle it. These ended up being perfect! We grabbed five of them to start and we're looking at getting at least five to ten more in the coming months once more jobs start up off the grid.
