Iridium Certus 100 IoT Service supports midband data capabilities for ships, cars, airplanes, and IoT devices via Iridium Connected equipment. One terminal can provide a variety of services, allowing for simultaneous operations for increased company productivity.
*ETF = Early Termination Fee *DSG = Dynamic Sharing Group's enable users to pool their monthly plans together, sharing allowances. This is subject to terms and conditions. A DSG requires application via Apollo Satellite and Iridium and therefore advance notice is required for set-up. DSG's require 5 SIMS minimum. If a DSG is set up prior to 5 SIMs being added to it, there is a 3 month grace period before you are charged for the 5 minimum SIMs. DSG are subject to a 12 month minimum duration period. Should SIMs leave the DSG within the initial 12 month period, the minimum of 5 SIMs will continue to be charged. DSG plans are limited to one migration per month.
100 IoT Terminal DSG A single DSG may included subscribers within the DSG activated on a single common plan and may consist of devices from only the Certus 100 IoT service class. Example: a fleet with 10 vessels activates a 20MB DSG across them, and they will have to have Certus 100 IoT terminals on all vessels.

Sessions are charged in 5,000 Byte increments (minimum 5KB charge per session).
No voice/telephony service or streaming data available in connection with Certus 100 IoT Plans
Plan(s) require a minimum term commitment as shown above and plan suspensions are not permitted. An ETF (early termination fee) will be assessed where applicable in accordance with the commitments listed above.
Plans must be used in certified IoT applications only
These plans may not be used for general maritime or land mobile communications such as email, personal communications or voice applications, including VoIP, texting and/or chat functions.
Apollo Satellite reserves the right to re-rate traffic based on prohibited network activities.
Apollo Satellite will apply alternative session size for invoicing purposes for long and sustained open sessions lasting longer than 5 minutes and transmitting less than 300 bytes per second.
Apollo Satellite will invoice each session based on the greater of:
(1) the actual payload message size
(2) the minimum session size (5 KB)
(3) the aforementioned time-based minimum byte size calculation
i.e. 300 bytes per second x session duration in seconds

Mobile Terminated SBD (MT-SBD) messages are sent to the Iridium Gateway via the Internet from a host computer system. The maximum length of a MO-SBD message is 1960 bytes. The maximum length of a MT-SBD message is 1890 bytes. Global network transmit latency for delivery of messages ranges from 5 seconds for messages of 70 bytes to approximately 20 seconds for maximum length messages. (Additional latency may occur across the Internet)
Mobile Termination Activation
Geo-Data is the last known location (latitude and longitude) of the device. When this option is enabled Geo-Data is included in the message content. By default it is enabled for all the delivery destinations. The SBD GEO data determined by the Iridium satellite network can be included with the message if you are not sending GPS data in the SBD message already. (accurate to about 15 miles)
The Iridium Gateway will send a 'Ring Alert' to the Transceiver when a Mobile Terminated SBD (MT-SBD) message has been queued at the Iridium SBD Gateway. Your mobile application can then decide whether to retrieve the MT-SBD data message at that time or later.
MO ACK - Mobile Originated Acknowledgement
MO ACK setting is used in conjunction with a Direct IP Delivery Destination. The default setting is off. When checked on, the Gateway expects to receive an acknowledgement from the receiving server that it has received the message. If the Gateway does not receive an acknowledgement, it will attempt to re-deliver the message for 12 hours. No other messages will be delivered to the receiving server until the first message is acknowledged.
