Grabbed a couple of these for my family and I so we can keep in touch while I'm out on one of my trips or even out hunting, which I do often. I kind of spoiled us a bit with the push to talk feature, I really wanted it for us and it is very nice. I also like the SOS button just in case of emergency. It would be very easy to have an accident with the areas I'm at and get stranded since I'm so far away from any help whatsoever.

I've with Apollo for almost 10 years now and have never been disappointed. This makes my 7th PTT phone. Other than an antenna problem with one unit, these have been solid. Iridium has gone a long way over the years. When PTT first came out, service was spotty and calls were constantly dropped. Now, with their new satellite structure, service is much better.

I go hunting all the time and I really like using my satellite phone out off the grid. This push to talk is the best thing I've found so far for a satellite phone. It's just too convenient being able to talk to someone with just pushing the button. And it also has some kind of advaced sos feature that I haven't fully figured out yet but as far as what I've found shopping this one is the best so far.

This just works, make sure you follow the directions it really is pretty darn good satellite phone. Built heavy duty and really good network you really don't gett too much better than Iridim's network they have lots of satellites.

My business takes me out of cell range too much so I had to get something to continue to communicate. It was hard to justify the cost but after the equipment these push to talks aren't too bad on cost. They are also very robust I've dropped mine multiple times and you wouldn't even know it.

I have it set up to dial three different emergency numbers when using pre-paid minutes. The clarity is great in a non-obstructed sky or in a convertible/sunroof. The phone will do emergency dialing only if you don’t have any minutes. The timeframes on the cards are strict so buy what you need on your next adventure.
I have not used any wifi capabilities with the available accessories. Yet I can’t imagine emailing someone while a bear is chasing…

Bought this for me and my hubbies summer home which is sort of in the Boone Docks. After tring to get it to work I found out that it cant be used indoors, this was a huge dissappoint. I ended up having to get an antenna just to get it to work inside. Wish I knew that beforehand. Now that I know how this exactly works its no biggie but that was a dissappoint.

We have a business taking people out on the water for some recreation, deep sea fishing, scuba diving ... We keep one of these on every boat just in case. You can't beat the push to talk feature it's amazing that you can be off the grid and talk with someone on a satphone liek it's a radio!
